DBE Decreases Non-Performing Loans Print E-mail

The non-performance loans (NPL) of the Development Bank of Ethiopia (DBE) in the just ended fiscal year stood at 2.1 billion Br, 22.7pc of the total loan portfolio of the bank, a decrease of 374.9 million Br and 15 percentage points less than last year's NPL of 37.4pc.

Awash International Bank (AIB) appealed a ruling of the Federal High Court in favour of the Addis Abeba Acts and Civil Status Document Record Service in connection with the authentication of a representation contract (agency contract) that resulted in the loss of half a million Br for the bank.
